Eleanor was seen for weeks at the corner of dead end road, very visibly thin. She had a hopeless/downtrodden look on her face. She seemed to to waiting in the same exact spot as if she was waiting for the person who dropped her off there to come back again for her. Hard to understand why such a loving gal like her was a "throw away".
A kind hearted family picked her up and took Ellie home.She was "sweet from the start and soon made good friends with all the dogs in the neighborhood! Ellie has been spayed & fully vetted and shows no aggression in any form. So now her trainers are working on obedience training and she will soon be ready for her "forever" home. She is so much more than a "throw away" and Last Chance AR will be in her court to make sure that doesn't t happen.
She would love to keep you and your dog pals company! Her trainers remark she is a total sweetie.

Current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative on monthly preventative, microchipped

Ellie is in the Paws in Prison program where dogs receive obedience training. This dog is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on10/16 . The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive their training journal. This journal documents everything from entering the facility, daily training progress, and interactions with trainers.
