Ein Australian Shepherd & Retriever Mix Palatine, IL

Looking for a gorgeous, active, well-behaved dog that will love you like no other? Then Ein is the companion for you.

Hailing from Alabama, Ein is a 46 pound Australian Shepherd mix that checks all the boxes when it comes to manners. Completely housebroken, never barks, chews only what is his, and great in the car and on leash, this one and a half year old is a fast learner and a people pleaser. Ein is not the biggest fan of the crate, but will go in without struggle and settle down in a few minutes. With his excellent household manners, a crate may not even be necessary.

Ein has gotten along well with everybody he has met. He is good with small children, respectful when meeting other dogs, friendly to visitors, and playful with the resident dogs in his foster home. Ein simply loves spending time with his people and will even climb onto your lap to give you a hug! This soft snuggler can also be active. Ein enjoys wrestling with the resident dogs and running around the yard. However, he can jump 4 feet fences, so it is best not to leave him unattended. Ein also likes chasing squirrels and chewing on his toys and bones.

If we do not receive any communication from you, the dog may be adopted out at our event prior to 12 pm if the perfect home comes along. :-)

However, visual breed identification is unreliable. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog’s individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess. Dogs are individuals.
