Eggo is a 2 year old MaltiPoo who weighs about 10lbs. He was rescued from the what is called the city shelter in Korea. Many dogs are sold to the meat market from here or euthanized. Our friends in Korea always keep tabs on dogs here and try to rescue as many as they can and Eggo was one of them. He has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply want a dog who doesn't shed. However, he will require grooming.
Eggo has thrived in his foster home. His foster mom set boundaries for him and has not spoiled him or tried to win him over with 'loving him' too much. She definitely does love him and gives him affection but everything has to be earned. Rather she set expectations like he has to sit for his food, has to go to his crate when told, can't race out the door, isn't allowed to run up and greet people at the door. He has been taught basic obedience and in teaching him rules and expectations he blossomed. He came into our rescue with a spoiled puppy mentality. That doesn't serve him well. He needs a very dog savvy home.
Eggo has lived with other dogs. The dog he has done best with is a really laid back dog who doesn't have dominant tendencies and doesn't mind if he acts large and in charge. He doesn't do well with those dogs who challenge him. He may be small but he is mighty. He's an ideal candidate to be someone's one and only dog.
Eggo is only an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years and is very dog savvy. If there are children they must demonstrate that they are very dog savvy as well and have always lived with a dog and be over the age of 13. 2/20/18 8:41 PM
