Meet Edwin
Please read the dog's entire bio before you apply. Sadly, we are no longer able to respond to every application, but if your application appears to be a good match for the dog we will reach out within 3 days.
Edwin is a male sheltie (shetland sheepdog) pup born 3/28/25. He is a fun little dude. full of play and rambunctiousness, although he likes being snuggled too. Edwin is small for his age so we believe he will stay on the small side for the breed (he is under 7 lbs at 4 months). He has the potential to be the best dog for a family who is familiar with herding dogs and has time to train/exercise, these guys are not couch potatoes and are too smart to just sit around all day. He came to us full of parasites so he wont be for adoption until they are all cleared, we are hoping for early August. Edwin is food motivated, a little shy at first and so cute. He is going through the puppy coat change right now so he is not super fluffy, but we are pretty sure he wil be soon.
Most of our dogs are not available to an out of the area adoption because of difficulty to follow up. If you do not live within a 2 hr drive of Orange County, please email us before applying to see if the dog you are interested in may be a candidate for long distance adoption. We may consider long distance adoptions for dogs who have been in our rescue for 6 + months with no local candidates.

This pet is altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has had a brief temperament evaluation to help us determine what type of a home he/she would thrive in. Please note that we put lots of time and effort to make sure our pets are ready to be someone's perfect pet before they go home.... and to make sure that we will have the best possible match for this pet we do require an : application, interview, adoption fee and in some cases a home check.
