Edisto is a 10-month-old Labrador Retriever / Husky mix and is almost fully grown at about 39 lbs. Prior to being rescued, Edisto had lived his entire life chained outdoors. He was forced to weather all the elements with little to no shelter. Upon arrival at the Almost Home Wellness Center, Edisto had almost no fur at all. He was suffering from a bad case of Demodex mange due to his prior living conditions. Though, with the proper medicated bath regimen and TLC, Edisto made a full 180! He is now ready to find the forever home he so truly deserves!
Here is what Edisto's foster mom has to say about him:
"Edisto is super cuddly! He is such a sweet boy and loves to be in your lap or around you whenever possible. While he prefers to be right next to you, he also does very well in his crate when a bone or peanut butter kong to chew on. Edisto is super smart and doing fabulous with his leash and house training. Edisto would get along with other cats, loves to play with other dogs, and would be good with children. Edisto would love another dog of similar size or energy level that way he has a playmate all day long! Edisto also enjoys the fenced-in backyard where he can run. While he is energetic he also knows when it's time to just relax and hang out with the family on the couch. He will make a perfect family addition."
Edisto is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.
