Eddie Chihuahua Irving, TX

This tiny 7-pound sweetheart is about 9 years old and overflowing with love. Eddie is one of the senior Chihuahuas we recently rescued from the Dallas shelter, and he’s already showing how grateful he is to finally be safe.
On his very first night in his foster home, Eddie ran straight to the bed, burrowed under the covers, and curled up at his foster mom’s feet—finally feeling secure. Now he spends his days lounging on soft pillows, basking in the sun’s warm rays, and soaking up all the comfort he missed for far too long.
When he arrived, Eddie had some hair loss, likely from past flea issues and being kept outside in the heat. But look at him now—his coat has grown back soft and fluffy! He was heartworm negative when adopted from DAS five years ago, but sadly wasn’t kept on prevention and has since tested positive. The good news? He’s started treatment and is doing great in foster care.
Eddie is doing well with potty training—he’s getting the hang of it, though he’s not perfect just yet. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s pure joy—sweet, cuddly, and always ready for affection. He’s a total snuggle bug who loves to be close to his person.
