Eddie's Story

Meet Eddie!

Eddie's fosters have nothing but wonderful things to say about Eddie. He sleeps in a cat hut on the bed at night ha ha! It's his dog cave! He walks on a leash and is kennel trained. He is shy at first but warms up once he gets to know you. He loves to hang with his people. He does get the zoomies and runs around the kitchen!

This little cutie has had it rough. Prior to being surrendered to us he had been hit by a car. His owner did not get him any vet care, because of that he has a funny walk and occasionally his left leg gives in. X-rays showed a healed fracture in his left leg. He has a luxating patella. The specialist couldn't say if it was from being hit by a car or something he was born with. He will have arthritis once he hits his older years but hey who doesn't! The specialist said that there is no sense doing the surgery to fix the luxating patella. The damage from being hit by the car has healed and there wouldn't be much they could do.

Eddie doesn't let this stop him or slow him down. He isn't in any pain and is living life with his foster family. He is on a couple supplements to help his joints. He is a really sweet dog that deserves a family that will spoil him!

Eddie is neutered, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and 4DX (tick/heartworm test) negative.

Eddie is approximately 2 years old and weighs 9 pounds.

To meet Eddie, please fill out the application https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAWP/Dog

Paw Posse Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters fill out an application. If we feel based off the application that they may be a good fit we do a phone interview. If that goes well we do a meet and greet. If there are other dogs involved they are included in the meet and greet. If that goes well we move to the home inspection. If they pass we can process the application. Sometimes dogs don't mesh the first time meeting. We will set up additional meet and greets for the dogs. There may be things in their home that we ask them to change (storage box by a fence, lock on the gate, barrier at the front door). Once we verify these items repaired/in place we will approve the application. We follow up with our adopters regularly. We ask for updated photos and help with any concerns they may be having.
