After being dumped in the middle of the country, Echo found herself surrounded by cornfields all alone. Unfortunately we do not know how long she was there, but from her emaciated state we assume she had spent some time there. As you can imagine, Echo was absolutely petrified when she arrived to her foster home. Everything she had ever known had changed and her world had turned upside down. Echo was found with a harness on, and after several weeks in her foster home she finally felt safe. But it was clear that someone love Echo before... she knows several tricks and is already potty trained.
Echo is a special girl who will need an owner who knows that sometimes the world is still scary for Echo. As many Great Danes are, Echo is very sensitive and her spirit is still rebuilding. She feels that she has to protect her food and her favorite things from other dogs. Because of this, she would be best as the only pet.
Once Echo trusts you, she will love you forever. She is goofy, playful, and is all Dane! She loves to chew on her favorite benebone, but is afraid of squeaky toys. She loves to run around the yard, but she’s still too afraid to go on walks.
Echo needs someone to take the time to build trust. She needs someone who will move slow. She needs someone to show her that life is good again, and that she’s going to be okay.
Echo is around a year old. She is approximately 90lbs and is expected to grow a bit more. She came to us thin and will need time to gain the weight she needs. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested, microchipped, dewormed, current on flea and heartworm prevention, and has had a gastropexy done. Echos adoption fee is $225.
