Meet Eastwood & Bridges

THIS IS A COURTESY POST

We are Eastwood and Bridges

We are a little over a year old, Catahoula (probably mix) pups. In case the names don’t give it away, we are guys. Not quite sure how it came to be, but we found ourselves in a really bad situation, living with a feral dog pack on an indian reservation, although we weren’t wild. Luckily a friendly lady coaxed us into going home with her. We were kind of scared, so she drove her car very slowly while coaxing us to follow her home. We were happy to do so. She then contacted rescue and here we are. Everybody is wondering how two such nice and friendly boys came to be in that situation – wish we could tell. It’s evident, though, that we weren’t on our own for too long.

Technically, we consider ourselves in foster care, but for lack of foster homes, we are currently living in a boarding kennel/doggie daycare. We LOVE doggie daycare. We get along great with all the other dogs and love to play with them. We’re really starting to get a lot more confident with ourselves, and we are super, super sweet. We can be a little timid in new situations and while we do super with other dogs, we aren’t too sure about humans yet – they still kind of spook us, especially Eastwood. Although, Eastwood bonds quicker to humans once he gets to know them than Bridges. We are very, very bonded. We can get a little freaked if one doesn’t know where the other one is - that could be because of the situation we were rescued from, where we had to stick together. You can tell we’ve lived outdoors most, if not all of, our lives as we need some manners and some house training. But, we are super smart and love to please… We’re learning that riding in a vehicle can be a good thing and we ride very nicely – we won’t even try to help you drive – although we might reach over and give a kiss or two as encouragement to the driver.

We would love to have our own home(s), but staying together would also be very nice. Did we mention, we are super bonded. But, we are super smart and can learn to be so good, you’ll think you only have one.

In the pictures of us together, Eastwood is wearing a red collar and Bridges is wearing a blue collar.
