Eagle German Shepherd Dog Fort Smith, NT

We brought Eagle home for the day yesterday. Unfortunately it didn't work out and we had to bring her back. But I just wanted to give my opinion on her, in hopes that someone else may giver her a chance. I have been walking her for the past week and have been really impressed at how quickly she responded to heeling on the leash. She is very intelligent and eager to learn. When we brought her home, she was naturally excited, but after inspecting our house, she really calmed down. She was calm around our kids, and even got along with our other dog in the beginning. When visitors came by, she did not bark at them, or jump on them. She did not show any aggressiveness at all towards humans. I was able to hold her by the collar, and handle her without any worry. However, when I walked her around the block, it is very evident that she is aggressive towards other dogs. Afterwards, she got in one fight with our dog, and attempted to start another one later. So we had to bring her back. She needs a home with a strong, experienced person to give her training and direction. She responds well to firm authority and I think would learn very quickly. In my opinion though, she does not get along well with other dogs. She needs to go to a home without other dogs, and be gradually introduced and socialized. If we didn't have a dog already, I most likely would have kept her. Please keep in mind though that this is my opinion, and I am by no means an expert.  EAGLE WOULD DO WELL IN A HOME WITH ADULTS AND NO OTHER DOGS. SHE IS A DIFFERENT DOG OUT OF THE SHELTER.
