.
Dylan was picked up stray and transferred to us from a rural shelter. He's a really sweet boy who has had little training, but is eager to please. Dylan gets along famously with the dogs here, and has never met a stranger, though we have no information on how he might be with children or cats.
.
Dylan could be very happy as an active companion -- hiking or serious walking -- but will need some training and structure in order to become the wonderful companion he is capable of becoming. Dylan does circle when anxious or transitioning, and is easily called off and redirected.
.
Dylan is crate trained, walks reasonably on leash, and has decent greeting manners! He will require a reasonable amount of daily exercise in order to be happy, and we feel would appreciate the company of other mild mannered pups.
.
This dog is located in Maryland - we do not ship or transport dogs. For information on adoption, an FAQ, and our application, please see our website at mabcr.org. If you are interested in adoption, please submit an application, complete with documentation.
.
Please note that some young dogs may be placed with a neuter deposit and contract, and any available dog may be placed with a training deposit and contract -- this would be noted on offer, prior to placement. For additional information on these policies, please see our website.
.
Questions about dogs are generally not answered here due to lack of staffing.
Additional information and photos will be posted here as time permits.

PLEASE READ our procedures for adoption prior to making inquiry regarding this dog. If you are looking for additional photos, video, or information on this dog, you will likely find that by searching our facebook page for their photo/description album.
.
Please see our main website at www.mabcr.org for more information regarding the adoption of this or any dog from our rescue.
.
Please note that while this dog is currently available, any dog on our site may have an adoption pending and may not be available to you at this time. The same dog may later become available if the adoption falls through.
.
Our website www.mabcr.org will give you details on our adoption procedures as well as an application for adoption. An application must be submitted prior to 'matching' an adopter with a dog as all dogs do not fit into all homes. We pride ourselves in our adoption process, we take the time to get to know our adopters so that we can place a dog with them that they can enjoy for years to come.
.
Please understand that we will not discuss dogs with individual adopters until after the application process is completed.
.
Our rescue does not have a public facility, therefore there are no visiting hours. Appointments to visit with the available dogs are made after the application process has been completed by our staff.
.
To assist any dog within the MABCR organization, please consider making a donation to the general fund or to the medical fund. All dogs coming into our rescue are fully vetted (s/n and core vaccines) prior to adoption.
.
Rescuing animals is quite expensive. If you are unable to adopt, but would like to help this, or any other animal in our system, please consider a sponsorship donation.
For information on our sponsorship program, please contact Sarah at SLR@mabcr.org.
.
Thank you for your interest in Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue.
