-Can Live with Cats: No thanks, I have been known to chase cats and other small animals
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, I could likely live with another playful dog of similar size pending an initial intro here at the shelter and a prolonged intro process in the home
-Can do Apartment Living: No, I would do best in a home with a fenced yard. This is not required but strongly recommended.
-Potty Trained: Yes
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, one private lesson
-Energy Level: HIGH
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No

Additional Information: Dutchess is an active lady looking for an equally active person/family who will take her on lots of adventures! This sweet girl will need plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation to keep her occupied, otherwise she has a history of becoming destructive. Dutchess is a known escape artist and would do best in a home with a fenced yard, or with owners who only take her out on leash. In her previous home, she would escape and chase/attack the horses that were on the property. For this reason, we think Dutchess would do best in a home that does not have any livestock or small animals for her to chase. Dutchess is a social girl who LOVES people and would do best in a home where her owners are present most of the time. If you intend to leave your dog alone for 6+ hours a day, then Dutchess is not a good match.
