Meet Dusty

Meet Dusty, the 3-year-old German Shepherd with caramel eyes and the most luxurious tri-color coat of fur. Dusty is 45 pounds of pure sweetness. She was rescued from Colleton County, South Carolina. Dusty is a gorgeous girl who is ready for her second chance at a happy ever.

Dusty may not be of puppy age anymore, but you wouldnt know it with her energetic and playful personality. This girl loves playtime, especially running in a big open area and chasing her friends around. She would adore a home with a big, fenced-in yard for hours of playtime each day. Dusty loves hard toys she can chew on, so make sure to pick some up on your way home with her. She is such a sweetheart and will jump up to give you hugs, though she is gentle about it and truly just wants to show affection. She is a pretty chatty girl who will let you know when your attention is required. Dusty does great walking on a leash, though she may occasionally stop to give you one of her famous hugs.

Dusty will make a wonderful family dog to any home with dogs and kids, though she is best suited for a home without any cats. Dusty is ready to make your days full of joy and love, where you can always look forward to coming home to Dusty hugs.

Dusty is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

Given the conditions Dusty originated from, upon rescue, she tested positive for Heartworm disease. Thanks to Home for Good Dog Rescue, Dusty has completed her Heartworm treatment.

*Heartworm disease is a serious and if left untreated, fatal disease. It is caused by foot-long worms (heartworms) that live in the heart, lungs, and associated blood vessels of affected animals, causing severe lung disease, heart failure, and damage to other organs in the body. Mosquitoes are carriers of heartworms and have the ability to infect dogs all year round, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States and during the summer months.*

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**
