My name is Duncan and I was born sometime in August. I don’t remember much of my early days. I remember my five siblings and I were taken to this really noisy place in Kentucky and I really did not like it because loud noises scare me. I’m shy around new people so this was really tough. My siblings and I were rescued from this noisy place and lived with a nice family for a couple of days before they put us all in crates and together we took a really long car ride north. My journey took me to York, Pennsylvania where I was picked up by my foster mom and went home with her.

I now live with a family that has 2 older dogs and 2 cats. I really love to play with other dogs, but foster mom says I don’t understand when others don’t want to play and I can sometimes be puppy pushy. I am good with the cats - unless they run then I think they want to play which isn’t necessarily true. I’ll learn. I love to wrestle and nip just like other puppies. I’m only 13 pounds right now but am very strong. My favorite toys are unstuffies, anything that squeaks, snack balls (I love food!), shoes, toes and tug toys. Foster mom says I pick up on games quickly and sit nice for snacks. Wouldn’t you? I’m good at chores such as collecting socks, cleaning up food, and moving shoes. I like to run freely in the yard and am working on this leash walking thing.

I sleep thru the night in an indoor play yard and have been good about not peeing in my space. When foster mom leaves me home alone I also stay in my play yard and she normally gives me peanut butter in this weird thing called a Kong to make me miss her less. Potty-training is a lot of work, but foster mom gives me lots of reminders. When I wake up, I like to eat right away. I have this crazy bowl that makes me eat slower. I play hard then rest hard, especially loving to cuddle up on someone’s lap for a nap. I love to be carried and snuggling. I am in good health and have all my vaccinations, flea and heartworm treatment, and I even have a microchip. If I sound like a puppy for you, just remember I have baby shark teeth and I like to use them. Little people might not be a good idea for me but I do have a human teen brother in my home whom I enjoy.

Foster mom says I am a handsome mix puppy. Her best guess is Australian Cattle dog, Border Collie and Pitbull.
