Let me tell you about the most wonderful little dog - our dear Dulcie! Once she decides you're her friend, she'll follow you anywhere! She's just bursting with eagerness - eager to make you happy, eager to romp around, and eager to curl up for the coziest sleepy times! She's more fun than you can imagine!<br/><br/>Now, this brave little creature has had quite the adventure before she came to us! Some car gave her poor little pelvis such a bump! But did that stop our Dulcie? Not one bit! She bounced back beautifully! Then, when it came time for her first grooming, we discovered her little foot had been broken too! And her knee was all wonky! The veterinary doctor fixed up her knee perfectly, and decided her foot was fine just as it was. So now she's a wonderful little dog who can walk and run and play, though sometimes when she gets tired, she holds up that leg like she's saying, "This paw needs a little rest!"<br/><br/>Here's the tricky bit - grooming time makes Dulcie rather nervous! She needs someone who knows exactly what they're doing, someone with lots of experience with anxious dogs. You see, all that hurt when she was a puppy made her remember that touching can sometimes be scary. But we're teaching her that touching can be wonderful! Touch a paw - here's a treat! Touch her sweet face - another treat! Brush that lovely fur - more treats! It's working like magic, and someday she'll love grooming!<br/><br/>We're looking for the perfect grown-up family for Dulcie - no children, just adults who will take her on wonderful walks and adventures to all the dog-friendly places! She adores people, she thinks other dogs are absolutely splendid, and she's the happiest companion you could imagine! Want to know her favorite game in the entire world? FETCH! Oh goodness, she could play fetch all day long! All dogs over the age of six months are tested for heartworms and, if they test positive, have either been treated or provided alternative slow-kill treatment. Dogs are provided monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Dogs are also provided additional medical care, as needed. This care may include amputations, wound repair, treatment for skin disorders, dental care, treatment for infection and other medical needs.
