Meet Duke

Duke and his entire family were found homeless in Puerto Rico. Duke and his brothers were ~5-6 weeks old at that time. You may actually see a video from when they were found here:
Thanks to a flight angel Duke arrived in Colorado in search of better future.

Duke is a very sweet and calm puppy. The name fits him quite well, normally he walks slow, very dignified. He is still shy of people but making a progress with each day. He is very food motivated so if you have a treat to offer, he will come to you to get it. Once he gets more comfortable, he loves ear and belly rubs. He is not shy at all with other dogs though: loves to play, wrestle, chase. While he is independent, having another doggie playmate will help him come out of his shell. He is very quiet in general, but will bark if another pup takes his treat or it is passed the mealtime and the food has not been served yet :)
Duke is doing very well with potty training and walks well on the leash.

We do not know what breed mix Duke is, he certainly looks like a small black lab. Usually, satos (homeless dogs from Puerto Rico) are a mix of many breeds, some chihuahua, some pit and you name it! By they are always loving and grateful. We do not know how big he will be when full grown but we anticipate he may remain small, possibly ~30lb.

Duke is up to date on her initial vaccinations, awaiting neuter and microchipping.
