Meet Duke!

If you want long legs and endless cuddles from your new best friend, Duke is the boy for you. He puts himself to bed in his crate full of warm blankets when he's done for the day and loves to nap in whatever room you're in. He mastered our dog doors within minutes and does an excellent job of patrolling for squirrels, he easily has the clearance to jump a 4ft chain link fence but has never even tried.

He loves rolling around wrestling with his foster sister outside and will keep himself entirely occupied and not pester you for more than a few pats during the day as long as you promise to take him for a walk so he can sniff the neighborhood.

We're working on not pulling while on the leash and not jumping on new guests, but he's so eager to please and wants to listen and figure out what you want from him. Once his initial excitement over meeting your friends wears off, he's content to snuggle up to them and nap the day away. He does have long legs and is about 80lbs, so small children aren't advised until he really masters keeping all 4 paws on the ground.

He's been both put in his crate and allowed to roam the house freely while his foster parents leave to run errands and he has no issues with either, since he has full access to the outdoors via our dog doors, he just spent most of the time alternating between exploring and napping on the couch. He currently sleeps overnight in his crate with no issues, but his fosters suspect that he'd make the best cuddle buddy in bed if given the opportunity.
