Duke Treeing Walker Coonhound Port Townsend, WA

Hi, my name is Duke! I am approximately 3 years old. I came to the shelter when my owner could no longer care for me.

I'm a walker coonhound. I'm friendly, outgoing, sweet, and very vocal! In fact, I was turned in here because I kept running away (I will follow my nose off property and into trouble) and the neighbors didn't like my baying/barking. I have mainly been an outside dog, but I am housebroken and would love to spend time inside with my family too. I am still an active young boy and need plenty of playtime, exercise and some basic obedience training too.

I will chase cats and small animals, but previously lived with other dogs and was fine with them. I previously lived with children, and would be fine as a family dog (ages 4 and up).

I am neutered, up to date on my DAPP and rabies vaccines, and micro-chipped too.

My adoption fee is $150 (+ $20 county dog license, if residing within Jefferson County). Staff takes applications for all the animals here to find us homes that suit our individual needs.
