Dudley is the epitome of hound charm, with a heart full of love and a spirit that's survived tough times. Found as a stray and shot in the leg, Dudley heroically fought hard to recover. In spite of his rough start and extended stay in the shelter, he is eternally optimistic.  Dudley is now healthy, playful, and ready to bring joy to his forever home. His distinctive howl and sharp nose are a testament to his hound heritage, making him an ideal companion for hound dog enthusiasts.
 
Dudley is house trained and very adaptable. He really does not like the shelter so thankfully some of his volunteer friends have stepped forward to take him home and keep him away from the stress of the shelter. He will put himself to bed in the evening and wake himself in the morning. One of his volunteer even shares her egg breakfast with him every day. So add breakfast buddy to his list of great qualities!

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 50-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
