Meet Dudley

My name is Dudley, and I LOVE people! Beyond just loving people I have an instant way to make you smile. Anybody that simply looks at Dudley with a smile on their face gets an spontaneous tail wag that is more of dog's version of carousel wheel (tail goes in circles of joy). If you give me attention and pets watch as my wiggle butt goes into action! If you have a bad day I will make you feel better as you laugh at my funny clowning around. In the last few months I have instilled another joyful way of expressing myself: I ran and hoop, ran and hoop (like I am hooping over 2 foot tall grass when there is no grass :-) ) then run.

I also love to receive belly rubs and I will want to shower you with hugs and kisses! I am just a great dog, at least from what my foster family tells me! My main goal in life is to be around people who will love me and make me feel safe. I promise that I will fill your life with happiness and purpose as we share in many fun adventures (or even just a relaxing evening on the couch)!

Dudley has done well around bigger kids and I not a fan of cats. He loves to play with his lab/pit mix friend Sam, but can be dog selective. Dudley is fully crate trained and potty trained too. Dudley’s DNA test results indicate he has a mix of breeds including American Staffordshire Terrier, Boxer, Briard, Dalmatian and Old English Sheepdog. Dudley is a medium size dog and weighs around 62 pounds. If you are interested in finding out more about Dudley, please fill out a Guardian Application.

Important - Please Read!
The Adoption process is designed to help place dogs with homes that are in the best interest of the dogs and their human companions. The adoption process starts with a pre-screen review of a Guardian Application. Making decisions about dog placement in adoptive homes is an "art", not a "science", and there will be times when applications will be denied for various reason(s). This is left to the discretion of the MAPS Review Team after reviewing relevant information. MAPS reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is no guarantee that any applicant(s) requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MAPS, or posted on MAP's website, will be granted an adoption.

After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love!
