DUCKY's Story

DUCKY was brought to the shelter as a stray (with "Pinto" who is also available for adoption) so nothing is known about her background.

DUCKY is a young girl, estimated to be 1 year old, she weighs 43 lbs, she's had her DA2PP and bordetella vaccines and she is listed as a Lab mix. DUCKY is not yet spayed, but she is on the waiting list at the vet. If DUCKY is not spayed prior to adoption, her adoption fee includes a $75 voucher to be used toward her spay surgery at the vet of your choice.

DUCKY is a bit timid when she first meets someone new, but she warms up quickly and is easily won over with some love and treats which she takes very gently. DUCKY is super sweet, really nice friendly girl who enjoys going for walks and hanging out with the volunteers!

It is difficult to tell for sure in the shelter whether or not a dog is housebroken, so it is best to assume they are not and be pleasantly surprised if they are!

DUCKY has been fine around the other dogs at the shelter, but nothing is known about how she is with kids or cats since there are neither there. Please bring your kids, dog(s), and even your cat(s), if possible, to the shelter for a meet and greet with the help of the warden and deputies just to be sure everyone gets along before taking DUCKY home!
