Ducky came to The Animal Care Society after being transferred from a rural shelter. She had a pretty severe case of mange, but that has all been treated, we are just waiting for her hair to fully grow back in. Luckily, she is spending her time having fun in foster care until she can find her forever home. According to her foster mom, Ducky would thrive being in the home with another dog, particularly a male dog, so we are requiring her to be adopted into a home with another canine friend. She also does not mind cats. She is still working on housebreaking and isn't a huge fan of the crate yet. She can get a little nippy when she's excited, so she shouldn't go to a home with small children. Ducky would benefit from an owner that is willing to work with her on basic obedience training. She is also a very active girl, possibly even part herding breed. She would do well with someone who has a large fenced yard or goes on frequent walks. She would not be a good fit for an apartment.
