Meet Duckie

Life with Duckie is just ducky! This adorable mixed girl of definitely Pug with perhaps Dachshund is 20 pounds of fun. And she's got a conversation starter on top of that - her left front foot sometimes turns completely backward. The vet says it is a deformity, not an injury, and just makes her a little differnt is all. So - if you go by her front feet - you'll never know for sure which way she is going.

Duckie is full of fun and playfulness She loves to play with toys and will do silly jump spins when excited. Some dogs just don't get her and pick on her but she gets along with most. Cats are okay too. Children would be best to be thirteen or older in the household because some things frighten her.

Have you been looking for a fun and silly (and sometimes silly looking) girl to make your life complete? Duckie may be what you've been looking for. Read on or go directly to the adoption process page of our website, throwmeabonedogrescue.org.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. The application can be completed and submitted from our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - the link is found of the Adoption Process page. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed if necessary, de-flea'd (with topical treatment if old enough, and by medicated bath if too young), spayed/neutered, microchipped, is up to date on shots, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a lead and collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
