Duck's Story

DUCK

A little backstory on Duck: He spent the first 10 or so months of his life living on the street, taking up residence in a planter box and being cared for by neighbors. He was too afraid to be leashed or go inside, but he would take himself on walks with neighbors and their dogs.

Eventually, Duck made his way into our program. Since then, his worried brow has somewhat smoothed, mostly thanks to the help of his patient foster mom and his many dog friends. Duck is the definition of "needs an ESA" and does really well with a human-social dog by his side who can show him how things are done.

Duck's best fit would be a home with a yard (walks are a little too advanced for this worried guy!), a dog who loves people (and him), and human parents who are committed to taking things sloooooow. If you're committed to the long con, that's the kind of mentality that will go far with Duck! He'd love to take the next step on his journey and with your patience, smoothe some more of those wrinkles off of his forehead.
