Duchess (Christmas) Alaskan Malamute Amelia Court House, VA

Christmas was born on July 2, 2022. She is very sweet and eager to please and be loved. She is affectionate and loves to be with her people. She came to us after her former owner passed away and the family was unable to keep her. Understandably, she is a little shy and timid at first but is embracing all her new changes in strides.

Christmas rides well in the car but is scared to get in at first. She is crate-trained, potty-trained, and is past the destroying blankets stage. She may be able to live with another male dog but can be picky with whom she likes. A meet and greet is required.

Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. We are happy to work with you. For example, if you don't have a fence, we can help find alternatives and/or a dog that will do well without a fence.

A home visit is required prior to adoption/fostering. You can visit the malamute(s) once you've completed the process. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how rewards-based training brings out the best in malamutes.

ADOPTION FEES
~Senior dogs (8+ years old): $100.00
~Adult dogs (2 years up to 8): $300.00  
~Puppies (6 months - 2 years): $350.00
~Puppies under 6 months: $375

All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. Puppy fees are higher due to more vet visits and vaccines. The adoption fee helps us cover these costs.
