Meet Duchess
Hi, my name is Duchess! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Friendly, food-motivated, playful, energetic
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history. Would likely be fine living with older, sturdy, dog-savvy kids 10+
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, will need slow, supervised intro
-Can Live with Dogs: Duchess was surrendered to the shelter with her Boston Terrier brother Trooper. While they enjoy each other's company, they don't appear necessarily bonded and could be adopted together or separately. Duchess has tested fine with other dogs at the shelter and should be fine sharing her home with another canine companion.
-Can do Apartment Living: Yes, with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, although a home with a yard would be preferred!
-Potty Trained: May not be fully potty trained as per previous owner.
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No
-Energy Level: Medium/high
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: **UPDATE AFTER VET CHECK*
-Additional Information: Duchess is your typical Lab mix-- friendly, food motivated, and tons of fun! She loves to play and explore. She can be a little jumpy when overexcited and would benefit from some continued training, especially with her leash manners. Duchess would likely adapt well to most active home environments and can be adopted by herself or along with her brother Trooper. If you'd like to meet Duchess, submit an application to schedule an introduction!
