Hi, My name is Drake.

I'm the sweetest male terrier mix you'll ever meet. And I'm ready to charm the socks off you! Please give me a chance to show you what an amazing young boy I am.

I weigh 55 pounds full of love. I'm super friendly and great with other dogs I'm heartworm negative and up to date on my preventatives and vaccines. I think I was born around 5/23/24. I'm such a good boy on walks, both on and off leash so whichever way you want to roll, I'm with ya! I even have a GREAT recall!

My foster family says this about me, "Drake is the sweetest dog! He wouldn't hurt a fly! He plays well with other dogs. He's currently living with my three female dogs whose weights are 45 pounds, 65 pounds and 85 pounds. He walks well on a leash. I've been taking him daily with my 45 pound dog. He's potty trained. He loves to cuddle. He loves to be with people. He whines if he's not in the same room as me. He sleeps on a dog bed on my bedroom floor. He sleeps all night. He is able to stay by himself in our mud room when I'm gone. He has not destroyed anything. He seems to sleep the entire I'm gone. He loves to run in the yard, play in water sprinkler and play in the kiddie pool. He is a great house guest! And... He can even play with a play all by himself!"

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue in Arkansas.

We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.

Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.

Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.

The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
