Meet Dozer

Don't wait to meet Dozer, a regal-looking and cuddle-loving Anatolian shepherd! Dozer is very well-mannered, house-broken, and knows his commands (sit, lay, stay, drop it, leave it). Dozer is 7yo, making him the perfect blend of youthful and mature; he has plenty of energy if you want to go for a stroll but is also happy to snooze away the afternoon whether it be on his dog pillow or in your lap. This champ last weighed in at 70 lbs at his last check-up, though it's easy to forget because he is one easy-going, loving, and cuddly bear-- he really just wants to be around his people. As a loyal dog, Dozer would do best in a house where he is the only pet and has a yard where he can stretch those long legs! Dozer also really enjoys roaming around the neighborhood, or checking out local hikes, and is always so excited to meet strangers and their canine companions while out and about. Dozer has done very well meeting dogs (and humans!) of all sizes and abilities (including a blind dachshund that he loves!).
Since Anatolian shepherds are naturally very loyal and like to take care of their family, Dozer will give you a bark or two to let you know if something is amiss in the neighborhood, so a quieter neighborhood would probably be best for him. Not only does Dozer keep an ear out for his family, he also loves to cuddle up on your chest, give you a quick kiss, and take a nap. What a great companion to keep you warm this winter!
Dozer has an **intense** love for chasing trucks and buses! A home where he will not encounter more then a few while out for walks is ideal, a family who is willing to enroll him in training classes to teach him to behave appropriately around trucks/buses would be great!
Adoption Fee is $150
He is up to date on vaccines and has had a wellness exam, heartworm tested and micro-chipped.
