Meet Dozer
Handsome Dozer is two years old, weighs 60 lbs. and is a charmer. He is very sweet and affectionate. He loves meeting people and other animals, outside the home. He sits on command, understands basic directions like "no." Small dogs boss him around. He will fetch a ball or toy as long as you will throw it. He loves his toys. Dozer's most striking feature is his eyes with the dark lining around them. He is a very handsome boy. While Dozer is fine meeting people outside the home, he is scared of strangers who come into the home. He has to meet them outside first. We think a stranger hurt him when he was young. The only problem Dozer's foster mom has with him is she is retired and he is very much a morning dog. He likes for everyone to get up early even though there is a dog door. He does understand the word "quiet."
Dozer is the perfect companion or family dog. Since he is still young and a pretty good size, a family with older children would be best. He needs a fenced in yard or underground fencing. A doggy pal would be great. He loves to play with the dogs in his foster home. Cats are unknown but he would probably be afraid of them. He really enjoys riding in the car. He needs a no pull leash for walks. He has one that will come with him.
Dozer is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and heartworm negative. If you would like to meet Dozer, contact Judy at judy@almosthometn.org or 865-300-8146. His adoption fee is $150.
