Meet Dozer
Dozer is a dreamy senior boy who wants his new people to know these 10 things about him:
1. I am a English Mastiff-Shepherd mix, and I am about 8 years old.
2. I am a very big boy, and I have lots and lots of hair. I hope my forever family won’t mind if I leave some fur on the floor every now and then!
3. I love people and think I would do well in a home with kids over 12, provided that they aren’t too loud or rambunctious. As an older doggy gentleman, I prefer a quiet, calm, and peaceful environment.
4. I wouldn’t mind living in a home with a large, easy going female that I could play and hang out with. Although I haven’t had much experience with small dogs since I came to The Bullpen, I think I could probably live in a home with dogs over 40lbs.
5. I generally ignore the barn cat at the sanctuary, so I’m pretty sure I will be able to cohabitate with cats at my new house.
6. The words that best describe me are loving, smart, obedient, and affectionate.
7. I like to get petted, take naps, and go on walks.
8. Like a lot of very hairy dogs in the south, I struggle with allergies. I take medicine every day to keep the itching away, and I will need to continue this routine with my forever family.
9. I am housebroken, good on a leash, and crate-trained. I also know how to use a dog door and basic obedience.
10. I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped.
Ready to give Dozer the forever home of his dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at www.bullpenrescue.org under the 'work with us' tab.
We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
