Douglas American Staffordshire Terrier & Chocolate Labrador Retriever Mix New Milford, CT

This sweet boy is a 1 year old neutered male with a heart of gold. He truly loves playing with other dogs, gets along with cats, and is has been living around live stock including horses, sheep, and goats. He is not shy one bit, he loves new people (adults and kids). He is medium energy. He likes to run around and play but will also settle down when inside and sleep all snuggled up next to you. He does pull on the leash right now but has never had official training and would also benefit from a harness or gentle leader leash. He is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and very food motivated making him easy to train. He is crate trained but can also be left out alone (as long as the room is dog proofed). This guy has a big heart and brightens any room he is in. He would do best in a home with a yard either fenced in or with a long tie out if he will be left outside unsupervised at any point. However he is very good about it staying around his people off leash when being supervised. He will need daily exercise but that’s easy as loves to play fetch! His recall is pretty good with a simple whistle and he knows sit, lay down, and paw. We love this is sweet guy and are really hoping he finds a family who loves him as much as us!
