Meet Dottsie
Meet our resident hound-dog, Dottsie!
This gorgeous Bluetick Coonhound is estimated to be 1.5 years old and was recently surrendered due to having some significant medical needs that needed immediately addressed.
Dottsie arrived with a prolapsed vulva and it was immediately fixed by our wonderful veterinarian staff. Since then, Dottsie has been recuperating and getting to know the staff and volunteers well. Dottsie has proven to be a very sweet girl who has absolutely loved her people and she was also described as great with the young children in the home.
Due to the breed, Dottsie will need a family committed to ongoing exercise, training and socialization as she is a young gal looking for some guidance. Dottsie is said to be good with other dogs, per her previous owner but she also is a little rough with her canine friends. This girl will need a feline and small animal/bird free home due to her breed and high prey drive. Dottsie is a vocal girl and will also need a patient family that understands the breed. Meet and greets will be completed with all members of the family, both furry and skin, in order to ensure an appropriate fit is made.
