Dora Chihuahua Oklahoma City, OK

Meet Dora (yes The Explorer), a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix that is roughly 5 months old weighing 8-9lbs. She came to Misfits in June from a local shelter. She was completely bald due to a severe case of mange (which she has fully healed from). Dora is spayed, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, on heart-worm prevention and is micro-chipped.

Dora is still working on her house training, she just gets super excited and forgets she has to go potty and will go right where she is (she is a bit of a nervous peer too). But who can get mad at something so cute and wiggley! We have not quite learned the skill of walking on the leash, it's just such a scary concept! Although Dora doesn't know any commands or tricks she will train you quickly when she likes her daily treats (3 tiny Milkbones in the morning and one chewy Milkbone at bedtime!)

Dora LOVES all her foster siblings! She plays and snuggles with one in particular all the time. She does play with the bigger dogs too but prefers dogs her size to body slam and play chase for hours. Dora even plays chase with the 3 resident cats (Once they have had enough they let her know and she leaves them be. Although this is seldom as they usually make her scream and she walks off.)

Dora does love to play pretty much ALL THE TIME! She will definitely need a very playful furry companion in her new home. Dora is very sweet and loving but really does prefer the companionship of a fur sibling more than human. At night she sleeps behind a baby gate with one of her foster siblings (which we still have overnight accidents).
