Donovan Bluetick Coonhound Mix Lexington, VA

Donovan is new to the shelter, he and Luther were dumped locally because they didn't hunt. Donovan isn't sure what he did wrong, and we have assured him he did nothing wrong. He is a very sweet boy, doesn't seem to mind other dogs and was happy after a nice warm bath. (he was FILTHY) We hope Donovans owner knows it is always better to take your un-wanted dog to the shelter rather than dump them. Hounds are social animals and anyone would be lucky to have one in their life. Donovan is approx. 5 yrs. old and 45 lbs. UPDATE: Donovan is now neutered- THANK YOU Julie!! NOTE: all animals adopted are taken straight to a local veterinarian for spay/neuter. We do adopt out of area providing adopter is will to make more than one trip. There are NO exceptions, and we do not hold animals. All Kittens and puppies must weigh 2 lbs. for surgery and there are a limited number of veterinarians in our area that will do a pediatric spay/neuter.
