Dolly Parton American Bully & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix Manhattan, KS

Hi Y'all! I am Dolly (Parton) and you might remember my namesake as the "Queen of Country Music". I am the momma of the Country Legends puppies. That is correct, I gave birth to seven beautiful puppies that are all named after legendary country artists. My foster dad says I am beautiful with my brindle coat and white collar.
I was born on 11/10/2020 so I am 2 years and 3 months old and I weigh around 60 pounds. The shelter I came from told Purple PAWS they thought I was a pit bull mix. My foster dad did not think I looked like a pit bull and had a DNA test done. We found out that I am a Bulldog x Australian Cattle Dog mix! My foster Dad will share my DNA test results with my new family so they know exactly what I am.
I was protective of my babies and would only let my foster mom and dad handle them. Now that my puppies have gone to their furever homes I have gotten along well with other people. I have not been around many children. I do not like for to you speak to me in a stern or loud voice and will just slink away.
I get along well with the dogs and cats in my foster home and like to play with the cats. I am curious about the free range chickens and will study them but do not chase them. I like car rides and will hop right in and sit down.
I am mostly house trained but need to go outside several times a day. I usually come when called and will sit for treats and I take treats gently. I am getting better at walking on a leash but could use some more practice. I am a smart girl and will learn commands quickly. I have not been in a crate because I needed to be able to take care of my babies.
The only thing I like more than sitting at (or on) your feet and getting pet is to lay on my back and get a good belly rub. My perfect home would be a house where I can be close to my people and have a fenced yard to play in. I would not be a good apartment dweller as I bark at new, unknown noises.
I am up to date on all my vaccines and was spayed on Feb. 8. I am ready to find my very own furever home and family. I would love to be your best friend! You can apply to adopt me at www.purple-paws.org.
