Meet Dolly

Say hello to Dolly! I'm the resilient Beagle on a mission to embrace freedom and love. I'll be turning three in December. I might be petite at just 31 pounds, but my heart is as big as they come.
Escaping the dreary clutches of living life in a cage being bred over and over was my first big adventure,

You might hear me bark and whine when I'm in a crate, but it's only because I've spent most of my life in one and I just want to be by your side. Leash training is still a work in progress, but I've mastered the ropes of potty training, with frequent supervised trips outside. I think I'd thrive best in a home with another furry friend, but I'm adaptable and can be a lone wolf too.

As for cats and kids, well, that's a bit of a mystery to me, but I'm willing to give it a try. Oh, and I have a knack for digging, so a secure fence is a must to keep me out of trouble.

I came from a breeder release program and now am learning what it takes to be a dog living in a home. I have a heart of gold, I've experienced so many changes lately - for the better - and I am trying to learn them all. Sometimes I can be a bit shy, but I LOVE to snuggle with you. Can see snuggle for hours? I'd be in heaven!

Join me on this journey of self-discovery and growth, won't you? Together, we'll make memories, conquer new challenges, and fill our lives with endless love and wagging tails.

We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here. To foster dogs: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/ROS/Dog
