Dolly Pit Bull Terrier & Boxer Mix Bethel, CT

Meet Dolly, a southern Belle with the sweetest smile and soulful eyes. This four-year-old, 45 lb. blue nose pit/boxer mix has had a rough past. She was adopted from the shelter in North Carolina as a puppy and then found a few years later wandering the streets as a stray extremely malnourished with a large wound on her shoulder (which has since healed).

We don't exactly know what happened or how long she was lost but the owner never came to reclaim her. Despite all she has been through, Dolly craves human attention and is a total sweetheart. She is so ready for her second chance in finding a truly loving furever home!

This gorgeous pup absolutely LOVES to snuggle! She is so affectionate and is guaranteed to be your best friend! Dolly is the perfect mix between active and calm. She will happily cuddle with you on the couch but also can't resist a romp in the yard or playing with her toys. She can be a little nervous meeting new people so slow introductions are key.

Dolly is a very good girl - she is fully house and crate trained, knows basic commands like "sit" and "stay," and is easily redirected when you say "no." She has never shown any destructive behavior. She walks pretty well on leash and is a respectful young lady when passing other dogs or people. While she is ok with other pups, Dolly would prefer to be an only dog (she basically ignores the current dog in her foster home). She is NOT good with cats and would do best with older children. A fenced is yard is required. She'll make a wonderful addition to any family!
