Meet Dolly
Dolly is a sweet little 22lb girl, about 10 years old, that came into foster care after the death of her mom and found herself put out on the streets to fend for herself. Dolly has always had a pampered loved filled life, so she was sure happy to be taken into care and know that would continue.
Dolly recent senior blood panel shows she has no issues. She is in excellent health.
Her nickname is Dolly Dumpling, and it truly reflects her personality. She is a dumpling of a girl and has being working very hard at losing weight and being very good about it. She has a few pounds to go, but she will get there and she won't complain about it. She loves other dogs and loves to play and go for walks. Now when she gets her harness on she will lie flat and you have to let her know legs need to be upright to move and she will give you a look that says if you insist and be happy to go with you. She is being building up to longer walks.
Dolly loves to hoard new toys and old toys and everyone else's toys and if she can steal one that is even better. She can sound ferocious with toys and although she is gentle I would say no toy playing with kids. ~ She should have a playmate willing to engage with her and then let her be when she wants her private time.
She prefers a bed beside you and a bowl of water to drink at night. Dolly loves tummy rubs with a passion and back rubs are also on her list of loves. She is honestly the most delightful sweet spirited little girl but don't let the other dogs come near her vittles when she is eating. A lady needs her space and she likes it to be respected. I honestly can't stress enough how sweet she is and honestly, she is so quiet we forget sometimes she is here unless the cookie bag comes out.
