Meet Dolly

Sweet Dolly was found wandering the streets and had no rescue or adoption interest so was scheduled to be put down. Her gentle nature and loyalty quickly endeared her to her animal control workers and they gave us a call. She is probably 12 years old (a guess) and about 4 pounds. Her first surgery involved pulling 3 of her 5 remaining teeth and getting her spayed. Her second surgery removed a large mammary tumor. Dolly needs a quiet place to retire. She is happiest napping next to her person and is house trained. Although she is great with kids and other dogs a safe quiet home would be best as she is old and teeny. Once you meet her you will fall for her like everyone in our group has!

Dolly is fully vetted with Rabies, DA2PPV and Bordatella vaccinations; a recent negative heartworm and fecal tests; and is spayed and microchipped. She is kept on monthly heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $250.

The first step to adopt Dolly is to read all about adoption with Happy Tails Rescue Inc. and fill out an application. If we think your home sounds like a good fit we'll be in touch. Click here to go to our web site:

Happy Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit foster-based rescue based in Northwest Indiana. We have no shelter, all of our animals are cared for in loving foster homes until their forever home match is found. All of our animals are fully vetted before adoption, including distemper, rabies, and bordatella vaccines, a heartworm test, fecal test, microchip, and are spayed/neutered. If you're interested in meeting one of our animals please fill out an application first. If approved we will then arrange a meet and greet. Happy Tails does not do same day adoptions because we do a short home visit to make sure our animals are being placed in safe environments.
