Meet Doc
You don't get to be a "Doc" without brilliance. He's got it all: the looks, the smarts, good personality, and endless energy! At about 2 years old, Doc is at the perfect age to expand his knowledge and perfect his skills. He is very treat motivated which should help with the training process. He can be a little nervous around new people, but once you gain his trust (maybe with some yummy treats) he is friendly and welcoming.
He previously came from a home where he was house trained. It may take some time for him to get adjusted in a new home and remember his training. He has also been known to run right out an open door. With training he can learn to wait until you give the ok. He is high energy and strong and will do best with someone who has patience and strength to work with him and teach him good doggy behavior in the outside world.
Doc gets very overwhelmed around other unfamiliar animals and needs to be the only furry friend in the home; so no other cats or doggy friends. When he sees an unfamiliar dog, he will react by jumping, biting the leash, and crying. With time and patience, he has great potential to interact politely with other dogs. Proper time, introductions and formal positive training may provide the structure that Doc needs to interact with other animals.
Doc is destined to be the dog that completes his family. A family to love him a cozy bed, some toys of his own and his life will be complete. Come meet Doc today!
