Here is what Dobby's owner told us about her:

Dobby is approximately 7 years old and was adopted from North Carolina in June 2017. She is 50% Mastiff breed and 50% mixed breed of Retriever, Shepherd, and Hound, based on the DNA analysis done through Embark. She weighs 60-65 pounds and is a loyal companion who focuses on "her person" and would love to have a home with a single person in a rural environment. She most enjoys life when she can be off-leash. When off-leash, she either gets on with or ignores most other dogs. She is playful and loves to fetch and play tug of war. She knows lots of commands and loves to learn new tricks. She is highly food-motivated and sometimes likes to cuddle. Dobby tolerates other dogs but can get defensive about her food, toys, etc. so she should not live in a home with a dog.

She has strong protective instincts and a high prey drive. Her current life with a multi-generational family, including young children and elderly grandparents, in a village, does not suit her well. She is prone to anxiety when people come into her space and will jump on people and nervously pee on occasion. This response is diminished when she is more relaxed. Overall, she's a great companion who loves doing all kinds of activities, protects her person, and will benefit greatly from having fewer people in her daily life and more freedom off-leash. Her family loves her very much and is looking for a great fit to ensure her happiness.
