Meet Dixie

Meet Dixie, a 5-year-old love bug looking for a forever home! While she may be shy and timid when you first meet her, once she warms up, she'll be your loyal and loving companion. Dixie is an excellent leash walker and loves taking relaxed strolls, but her favorite activity is lounging around as the perfect couch potato. If you're ready to give this sweet girl a cozy spot to call her own, please fill out an adoption application at www.metrodetroitanimals.org.

For current adoption fees, please see our website, www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Adoption fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, spay or neuter, microchip, ID tag, fecal / worming, basic physical and behavior assessment. Dogs (6 months and older) receive an occult heartworm test. For an additional $20, cats (12 weeks and older) can be tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) / FLV (feline leukemia).
