Meet Dixie
If you are interested in any of our dogs, please email us directly and please do not use the petfinder link. It does not include your email address in the reply to and I can't always copy and paste it from my phone. But I can if you email us from your email account. Thank you!!!
Dixie is an approximately two year old female mini schnauzer who was rescued from the euthanasia list at Maricopa County. She was adopted from there but came down with kennel cough so she was returned. When that happens the dog goes straight to the elist which is what happened to poor Dixie. She came into rescue on January 15, 2014 and she will be in quarantine for the next ten days getting over what ever bug she has picked up. She won't be available to be adopted until after January 25. She is already spayed and will be chipped and up to date on her shots as soon as she is healthy.
She was deemed adoptable by County and was adopted. So we are pretty sure she has a good personality but she just doesn't feel so hot right now. She will also need to be groomed when she feels better.
Dixie's adoption fee is $225. If you are interested in this girl, please email us phxgsrescue@hotmail.com Applications in the immediate area are given preference and you need to be within driving distance to come and pick up a dog. We do not ship our dogs. When you adopt a dog from us and for some reason it doesn't work, the dog be returned to VSGSR and a full refund is given with in the first thirty days. Any dog adopted from us at any time comes back to Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue if the adopter can not keep the dog. We are responsible for our dogs for their lifetime. And we hope our adopters are also. Each dog will have been neutered, had full panel blood tests done, been microchipped and up to date on all of his shots. We do prefer that you be within driving distance of Phoenix to adopt one of our dogs. If the adoption doesn't work out for some reason with in the first thirty days, the adoption fee is refunded upon return of the dog. Our contract states that during the life of the dog, should something happen that you can not keep any of our dogs, the dog must be returned to VSGSR. Should a family member wish to adopt the dog, they would be given first priority. We are responsible for our dogs for their entire life. If interested, please email us at phxgsrescue@hotmail.com for more information. Emailing is the best way to contact us as we are all volunteers.
