Diva is an amazing German Shepherd whose journey has truly shown her resilience and spirit! Born into an accidental litter of 12 puppies, Diva faced tough odds as only 5 survived the parvovirus before they were surrendered to animal control. Despite her challenging start, Diva has overcome the odds, is now healthy, and is ready to find her forever home!

Diva is a sweet and social girl who thrives on companionship. She's very smart and eager to learn, demonstrating a good understanding of house manners already. Diva loves to be with her people and has a social butterfly personality, quickly bonding with those around her.

Diva has shown that she gets along well with other dogs that are tolerant of her puppy energy, but she wouldn't be a good fit for senior dogs or senior citizens due to her playful and energetic nature. She has shown a bit too much interest in cats and would do best in a cat-free home. Diva still has some puppy tendencies but is making progress with her training.

Diva walks well on a leash and is motivated by food and treats, making her a fantastic candidate for continued training. She can be vocal, which is typical for female German Shepherds. Because of her needs and energy level and the working breed that she is, Diva is not suitable for apartment, mobile home, or condo living. She will greatly benefit from guidance and experience, making her best suited for someone familiar with the breed.

Diva would thrive in a home with older, dog-savvy children who can help her channel her energy in positive ways. She's working on crate training and prefers to sleep in a dog bed through the night or even better, snuggled in bed with her humans.

Diva is looking for a loving, committed forever home where she can continue to learn and grow into the incredible dog she's destined to be. As she will grow to be a large dog, she needs plenty of space to romp around and play.

Diva can go home with you but will remain in foster-to-adopt status until the sterilization surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Twp, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.

Diva is:
Current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella
Fecal tested and dewormed
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Scheduled to be spayed at one of our partner Veterinary offices at 6 months of age (included in the adoption fee).

FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
