DIPSY* Pit Bull Terrier Tucson, AZ

Dipsy was the name of one of the Teletubbies, and we think our Dipsy is just as adorable as her fuzzy green namesake. She was found as a stray and has been understandably overwhelmed in the noisy shelter. But, she has been making progress and her personality is really shining through these days! Heres what her volunteer friends have had to say about her: First time walking Dipsy. She had a loose body and a wagging tail as I approached her kennel. She enjoyed running around the play yard and checking all the interesting scents, and quickly did her business. She seemed to be up for some adventure, so we headed down to the wash to explore. She pulled somewhat in her enthusiasm but was easy to control. She leads with her nose to keep track of all other creatures who recently passed by. We stopped several times for a high value treat (chicken) which she took calmly from my hand with a gentle mouth. A fine dog. Today Dipsy was friendly, allowed pets, and promptly did her business. Beautiful girl! I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet mama tonight. Dipsy approached on her own terms and sniffed me. I squatted down and she accepted pets. In the yard, she demonstrated that she likes water and balls! She was friendly, accepting pets, but mostly chose to explore and sniff. A sweet, easy-going dog. Today was my second outing with Dipsy. She greeted me with a wagging tail and loose body language. I easily leashed her and away we went. We walked all the way around the lake. We stopped to enjoy some pets in the grass and she licked my arms and face. I took her out a second time and went to play yard- she splashed in the pool, played fetch and climbed in my lap for pets and bits of chicken. She was very affectionate, calm, non-reactive and a delight to spend time with! When meeting other dogs in playgroup Dipsy was appropriate and tolerant, and enjoyed exploring the play yard independently. Dipsy is looking for a savvy person or family who can help her decompress, feel safe, and most importantly, spoil her! Please ask to meet Dipsy today!
