Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered, special needs. Senior (10+years) Neutered male Large (70lbs.) lab mix (DNA results 89.5% Labrador retriever/12.5% border collie) Digger is a very sweet senior dog who needs a lot of love and has lots of love to give. He is deaf and knows a couple hand signs. He does have hip dysplasia and is on Rimadyl and Dasuquin; both together have helped his mobility. Many stairs/steps can be difficult but a few are okay. He is very good with other dogs (currently in a foster home with two other dogs), good with cats and good with other humans. Digger is a pretty mellow dog most of the time. He does have some anxiety especially when he is not able to see/be with his human and when riding in a vehicle. He will bark when in these situations but is getting much better. Loves to go on walks but about 30 minutes is his maximum before he tires out. Does well on a leash. He will go in a crate with some coaxing but would prefer not to! DIGGER IS A HAPPY, GENTLE AND LOVABLE SENIOR DOG. Would be a great companion for an individual/family who is okay with a senior dog and their limitations.
