Meet Dewey
Dewey is an absolutely amazing mini black/grey Chow Chow x Shipperke mix - she's a little show stopper, so pretty!
She is about 2 years old and weighs 28 pounds. She is super friendly and a favorite among the dogs and staff at our Rescue Ranch. She is a tiny Chow or a Chow-looking Schipperke with a big teddy bear personality.
Dewey is happiest when she is cuddled close. Or when her face is resting near your hand or leg. She is best suited for owners who can be home most of the time. She is good with men, women and children.
Dewey likes to sleep on fluffy beds and play with her toys. She likes to look and gaze into your eyes with a sweet smile. It’s adorable and we are here for it!
She is a total fluff ball and has a "fluffy dog walk", so dainty. She makes the funniest faces for photos! When Dewey meets new people she wiggles and does a slight hop. She approaches lovingly and is open to giving and receiving affection and attention.
She is playful with other dogs. Not sure about cats. She would have to meet them. She does well in a crate although she prefers a plush dog bed in the house.
Dewey is good on a leash with a harness. She has a medium energy level and requires moderate exercise like daily walks and playtime. She really enjoys the company of other dogs and people. Dewey is about 90% house trained. As long as she has normal, regular potty breaks throughout the day, she keeps a tidy and clean area. No messes.
Dewey needs brushing for her fur to keep it nice. She also needs regular hugs to keep her feeling loved and adored. She is fun to have around. She wants to make friends and become best buds with her family.
She has a gentle and calm personality — she loves pets, belly rubs, and quiet moments with her people.
Dewey is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $250 for transportation.
She is being fostered in Fulshear TX but we can have her brought to IL on rescue transport which brings dogs up once a month.
