Meet Denver (ID 12665/3374)

Denver is a delicate lady of a certain age (perhaps 10 years old) who is looking for a true forever retirement home. She is quiet and clean, dainty and sweet, and she loves to take casual walks just as much as she loves to snuggle in a soft doggie bed. Denver is light as a feather, but long legged and fine boned. Her weight (about 10 pounds) indicates that she is a chihuahua but she is built more like an Italian greyhound--just with long hair. Denver’s ideal home would be with a quiet older family or couple that likes having a companion to enjoy gentle, easy walks and quiet time at home. She is fine with smaller calm dogs but would prefer not to live with large active dogs and due to her age and delicate build, would do best in a home without kids who expect a dog to play.

Denver will be available for adoption after she recovers from her dental next week. She will have a "fresh grill," perhaps with a missing tooth or two, but without the pain she's been living with. If she might be the right new companion for you, please contact the shelter.
