Hi, my name is Denali. I am 1-year-old old and a lab mix. When I was about 4 months old, I was abandoned on the side of the street along with my 6 sisters to fend for ourselves. I did my best to protect all of my sisters and tried to take care of them, but only me and Amaya survived and where rescued together. Through all of this I have learned that my first humans were unkind to abandon us, but I am learning that most people I meet now are nice, as are the dogs I meet. It takes me a little time to trust new friends and warm up to them, but I’m working on that. I am curious about other pets and kids and would love to get to know them so we can play when I’m more comfy.  I am crate-trained and have learned to walk well on a leash. I’m also working on my potty training and think I’m doing well.  

Denali should top out around 60 lbs and is looking for a moderately active home with another dog in it for him to play with and to teach him confidence and house manners. Denali loves kids and toys.
While Denali and Amaya love playing together, they need to be separated to grow and trust and learn, they each need a home with another dog in it that they can learn from.
