Meet Delly
Delly weighs 9-10 lbs. He is the right dog for the person who feels they are willing and able to continue his adjustment to life in a home. Please read below.
He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and is on monthly heartworm preventative. He has about 8 teeth left as many were missing when taken into rescue and 15 more were removed during his dental.
It isn’t unusual for dogs from puppy mills to have severe dental disease. He eats moistened kibble just fine.
He is estimated to be 6-7 years of age.
Delly has been fine with all dogs he has met, large and small and would absolutely need the company of another well adjusted dog. He has thoroughly enjoyed playing and interacting with the other foster dogs.
He is fearful/shy of human touch, but is improving and prefers women.
He loves to go outside in a FENCED YARD but does like to go out for walks on a leash. Considering noises scare him, a fenced in yard for off leash play time would be great.
He sleeps well in his safe place (crate) at night.
His housebreaking has had its ups and downs, so he is let out frequently.
He has responded well to young children (not toddlers) who paid attention to him and approached him calmly.
